A Student of Shakuntala Vidyalaya’s jump to China!


Education and Sports were always an essential part of a living being, whether it is a boy or a girl. But from past many years, girls are not getting it properly. Education helps an individual to be smarter, to learn new things and to know about the facts around the world whereas Sports gives and an immense boost in confidence. Especially women education in India is the need of the hour.

In terms of inhabitants, India is the second largest nation in the world but the rate of girl education in India is extremely low, especially in rural areas. Educating the girl child must be a necessity for the overall development of the country as women play an essential part in the all-around process of the country.

But the change in society is coming slowly and steadily. People are awaked that girls should have their identity in the world whether it is a game or it is about academics. Government is joining hands with different NGO’s and Education Boards to successfully fulfill this campaign.

And unlike other education boards and schools, Shakuntala Vidyalaya is also encouraging the girls to chase their dreams. And one of its students – Miss Charu Verma has successfully qualified the Asian Cup U-17 Women’s Softball Championship 2019. The tournament is going to be held at China from November 5th tom 9th. She has been selected with one more player from Chhattisgarh.

In the session of 2019-2020, the faculty members of Shakuntala Vidyalaya have celebrated the excitement of a student’s long jump over to China’s Championship.

In the meantime, all the students have congratulated her in the school’s Facebook handle and made a 100% participation in motivating her for the upcoming tournament. The attempts made the event even more beautiful and successful. The only priority of the School is to see their students grow in every manner possible and the school can observe the growth proudly and share the celebration and memories.
